Whisperwind is a very small she-cat. She has light, blue-grey fur. Her eyes are a deep blue, although sometimes they change to be a greenish-brown color. She has one white paw for some reason which even she herself does not know. She's rather slender, and her size allows her to move silently. Her fur is very thin, so it doesn't keep her as warm as most cats' fur. It is also very soft and smooth. She is oddly fast for her age and size, and is missing the tip of her tail, as she lost it in a twoleg trap. Her ears are rather big, and although the tip of her tail is missing, it is still unusually long. She has pale whiskers which are rather short, and sharp claws which she keeps sheathed. She also has amazing endurance and agility. She often keeps still, trying to get her unusual fur color to blend in with the camp. Obviously, she always fails.

Whisperwind is a very quiet she-cat. She likes to watch things to try and see how they work. She loves hanging out with Wildheart, the medicine cat and Whisperwind's closest friend from kithood. She used to want to be a medicine cat, but gave up the position so that Wildheart could take it. She does not often talk to other cats, unless she is talking to Wildheart or Goldenfeather. She is very gentile, though she still loves to pounce on leaves, twigs, and other nonliving things. She's really intelligent, and easily remembers thing shown or told to her. She likes to explore, and one time made it out of camp as a kit, which is how she lost the tip of her tail. She likes to hang around the elders, listening to their stories. She especially likes Rainflower, the gentle she-cat who was once very much like Whisperwind herself.

Kithood: Whisperkit was abandoned inside ThunderClan borders when she was but a moon old. A ThunderClan queen took her in, although an odd scent was found on her. This scent was new, a group of cats nobody had heard of before. The queen who took her in never told anyone about this scent, and Whisperkit grew to believe she was of ThunderClan. When she was three moons old, she slipped out of camp and got her tail stuck in a twoleg trap. She lost the tip, and never again left camp until she was apprenticed. Her queen also took in a young rogue-turned-Clan cat, a she-kit named Wildkit. Wildkit and Whisperkit soon grew close, and wanted to become Medicine cat apprentices together.
Whisperkit's name came from her silent movements, even at the young age she was found. It also came from her tendency to watch things instead of taking part in them, and her odd shyness. She seemed to know she was different than the other kits, although she never showed it. She also often had dreams about two Russian Blue cats in a camp full of rose thorns.

Apprenticeship: When the time came for them to be apprenticed, Whisperkit and Wildkit found that only one of them could be apprenticed to Blackfeather, the elderly medicine cat. Whisperkit thought about it for only a few seconds, and immediately decided to become a warrior. Wildpaw was apprenticed to Blackfeather, and Whisperpaw was given ThunderClan's leader as a mentor. The she-cat realized she had made the right choice when she went hunting for the first time. She caught a sparrow almost instantly, and realized her gift for hunting. The leader was amazed. Whisperpaw breezed through her hunting training, and was able to devote much of her time to practicing her average fighting skills. Wildpaw would help her to train, and by the time Whisperpaw was eight moons old she was ready to become a warrior.

Warriorhood: Whisperwind loved life as a warrior. She went on patrols often and brought a ton of fresh-kill to the pile. Everything felt perfect, because this was something Whisperwind was made to do. She and Wildpaw were still the best of friends, and neither of them regretted the descision they had made long ago. Whisperwind's dreams about the two Russian Blues changed, and now she only dreamt about a russian blue she-cat. Then, at merely ten moons of age, Whisperwind gained her first apprentice. Lightningpaw was a bright young tom and trained hard to learn from Whisperwind. He was amazed at the fact he had gotten this legendary cat, for he had heard all about Whisperwind's speedy training from the elders. It turned out that the she-cat warrior was also a great teacher, since by the time he was nine moons old Lightningpaw had become Lightningstrike. Whisperwind was thirteen moons old. Only two moons later, Blackfeather died of old age and Wildpaw became Wildheart at fourteen moons.

Deputyship: A moon later, ThunderClan's leader was killed in a rogue attack. During the attack, Whisperwind saw the russian blue she had dreamt about. The she-cat looked at Whisperwind in a look of sheer amazement, and spoke to a small black cat -the one standing over The leader's cold, dead body. Soon after, the rogues left. Much to Whisperwind's surprise, the leader named Whisperwind deputy and took the she-cat warrior to the moonpool with her. There, Whisperwind saw the russian blue from her dream again. The she-cat led Whisperwind out of the area and into the surrounding forest, where she told her story. "My name is Blue." the she-cat had begun. "I am a member of a group of cats called the Rogue band. We have been attacking your Clans. I was supposed to kill you and your leader, but I do not have the heart to do it in cold blood." Blue's voice was rasping and dry. As she turned to leave, Whisperwind called out. "I think I remember you from somewhere. I have dreams about you often, as well as another russian blue, only I don't dream of him any longer." Blue had only stared at Whisperwind, then she started to cry. "My daughter. Oh my kit... I always wondered what became of you." Blue had run to Whisperwind and nuzzled her. "You dreamed of me and your father. His name was Pebble, and he died a few moons ago. You see, love is forbiddin in the Rogue Band. Midnight would have killed us and you if she found out. So when you were born I carried you to the Clans, hoping they would save you. To believe I almost killed my own daughter... So how are you? You must be an important cat to have come with the leader." Whisperwind told her mother everything. Blue was so proud of her daughter's skills and Deputyship. The two cats exchanged heartfelt goodbyes, and Blue left to face her fate for disobeying her leader's direct order. That night, Whisperwind didn't dream at all. Midnight and the rest of the Rogue Band were found dead a few mornings after.

*From her kithood*
Whisperkit darted out of the nursery. Around her, everyone was preparing for the gathering. She hurried over to Blackfeather. The medicine cat looked down at her as the tiny kit pounced on her tail.
"Blackfeather, are you going to the gathering tonight?" she asked. Blackfeather nodded as Whisperkit pounced again. She let out a tiny mew of laughter. "Blackfeather, I want to come too!" She said. She was in awe of the medicine cat. While most other kits wanted to become warriors, she wished to be a medicine cat and walk the ways of StarClan. She slid off of Blackfeather's tail and padded away to allow her idol to prepare for the gathering. Becoming bored without a cat's tail to pounce on, she pulled a leaf off of a low branch. She tossed it up into the air and pounced on it as it fell. She kept pouncing on the fallen leaf until it was nothing more than a few green shreds on the ground.
