Embersky
Useful? It's the middle of the day. Unless some kit gets a thorn it their pad or-...if I got a thorn in my pad. Could limp to SnowClan...are there any thorns around here? Embersky almost forget about the three cats he'd summoned during his line of thought. What else is there to do with these people? He got up. "Alright, time to go inform Willowstar of your new apprentice." Turning to walk away, he thought of one more thing. "Oh, and whatever you do, don't go the Lionstep route."
Sweetkit
Having already started to cuddle her new bunny, she smiled at Sagekit before licking his ear. "Thank you! This helped!" Curling so that she had wrapped around the length of the rabbit, she began to try and erase the image of her previous friend's condition as a meal that was soon to be for the elders. She reached her tail to Sagekit's shoulder so he was by the rabbit too and then cuddled him as well. "Did you wanna cuddle the bunny too?" She asked Hawkflame and the retreating ThunderClan medicine cat.

»Hawkflame« Hawkflame's upper lip curled with absolute disgust -- and though he didn't quite understand just what Embersky meant by that, he knew enough about the Medicine Cat's personality to take it badly. Good riddance! he scoffed inwardly, and turned his gaze back to Sagekit and Sweetkit, the little she-kit's question catching him completely off guard.
By the time he processed what it was she was asking of him, his answer was written all over the deep orange and black tom's face. snuggle a bunny? Hawkflame looked as though he'd rather snort death berries through a straw then go anywhere near one -- unless he was feeling hungry, of course. And if that was the case, then the whole of ThunderClan knew he wouldn't be snuggling it, so to speak...

Sagekit Sagekit glanced at Hawkflame, reading his face easily, and tried to motion to keep his thoughts to himself. He busied himself making sure he was inbetween the warrior and bunny. How would Sagekit explain to Sweetkit what happened if he killed it? The kitten was glad the medicine cat was done torturing him, though. He kept wondering what would finally push the warrior over the edge and hurt Embersky.

Sweetkit
For some reason, her brother seemed to be protecting the bunny from Hawkflame. That made no sense to her. Why would the warrior want to hurt her rabbit friend? He said he didn't feel threatened by it. "She's really soft and nice!" Sweetkit encouraged, head poking out from over her brother. Although, his expression wasn't very promising. Looking at her rabbit, it looked like cuddling Hawkflame was the last thing it wanted to do. Looking at the warrior with wide dark eyes, it bolted away. "Oh, bye bunny!" Still confused by the sudden rejection, another warrior finished off her friend before they could reach the safety of a burrow. Another wail escaped her.

»Hawkflame« The dark-furred warrior's ears went back instantly at the sound of another one of Sweetkit's signature wails, the sound embedding itself into the big tom's skull without his permission. "Will you stop doing that? What is so important about that stupid rabbit?!" The warrior hissed at the pair, finally losing his cool at the sound of the she-kit's distress. He hated crying of any kind. He hated small, pathetic crying that managed to twist at his heart strings until he either went completely crazy -- or just flat out died from it. Ears pressed flat to his skull still, Hawkflame showed no signs of making any effort to comfort the miserable she-cat, but no one really expected him to, now did they? It was Hawkflame they were talking to, after all.

Sagekit Sagekit moved so he was blocking his sister from the warrior. "It's a friend." He glared at him before turning to console Sweetkit. "I can get you baby bunnies if you'd like?" he gave her a smile and more comforting words. The more the kit thought about it the more he wished the medicine cat would come back and torture the tom some more until he finally cracked. It would be much better than Hawkflame torturing Sweetkit with words about stupid rabits. Much better. He grinned at the thought of the warrior going away and pulled his sister up from her pile of sadness on the floor. "Let's go back to the nursery and you can ask one of your other bunny friends."

Sweetkit
"But what if they get hurt because of me too?! Why's it always my friends that are killed?! And what do you mean 'stupid rabbit'? They're all unique and special!" The little she-cat was about to break down again but then she remembered Hawkflame's request. She hadn't meant to be obnoxious, she just had to let her grief out somehow. It was a lot easier when she had her brother with her but it still wasn't as simple as the warrior seemed to think of it as.
But just then she realized just who she was talking to. Perhaps she'd been too rude. After all, this was her future mentor and she had to be respectful to him. Quickly dipping her head, Sweetkit let out a squeak at how awful she'd been. "Oh! I'm sorry! That was way too mean! I understand you don't like bunnies now. Forgive me!" Embarrassed still, she turned to take Sagekit up on his nursery offer.

»Hawkflame« The dark warrior stared at Sweetkit the same way a rabbit stared at a tap-dancing jackal. What in the name of StarClan? Hawkflame could barely grasp what he was hearing. All special and unique? Oh sure, some rabbits had more fur than others. Some had longer feet. Some had smaller ears, but that was the extent of their 'uniqueness' -- at least, as far as Hawkflame knew anyway. "That's not healthy," he muttered to himself, watching the two kits make their way back towards the nursery... The she-kit's love for rabbits was...utterly asinine, but there wasn't a thing he could do to stop it.
Intending to leave before Embersky came back to 'torture him until he cracked', Hawkflame turned a full circle, but his head was slightly turned in the direction of the two kits, his blazing green eyes watching them with a silent curiosity. They're certainly different, I'll give them that much... And with a sinking feeling in his chest, Hawkflame had a hunch that he'd be seeing both of them again much sooner than he wanted to.
