//Finchfeather// After making sure that the disgruntled, injured Brock had made it into Whispersong's den without any trouble, Finchfeather turned back towards the center of camp. He had managed to bring back some of the prey he'd collected, and dropped it onto the freshkill pile with a slight aura of disappointment. He hadn't had time to go back and collect the other vole he'd killed, and some other animal had probably gotten it by now. Intending to blame this mishap on running into Brock, Finchfeather kept his thoughts to himself as he settled down nearby to wash himself. However, it was Moonfrost's presence that was caught in the corners of his eyes. "She'll get him sorted out," He mewed in a friendly tone, glancing from Whispersong's den and back to Moonfrost, wanting to reassure her if she was worrying over the old tom. Every time he saw her, however, Finchfeather always had the strangest urge to be the nosiest creature in the Clan, and ask her questions about her past. Why was he so interested? Why was he so intent on bothering her like an old mother hen? He really did have to stop that, before it became a habit he really didn't want to keep.

Moonfrost She smiled at Finchfeather. "I know. Whispersong is a talented Medicine Cat." Why am I still following him? she asked her self, staring into the forest. "I'm still curious at how he got that way but I guess it's none of my business, is it?" She laughed nervously. "I'm a nosy cat, I guess." There was something that made her keep trailing him, even though she kept reminding herself he probably had to attend to multiple things and didn't have time to occupy her.

//Finchfeather// Finchfeather cracked a grin. "We're both nosy cats," the tom insisted, making it clear that he wanted to know Brock's history just as badly as she did. "Brock's not the only one I have questions about, though." He mewed, hoping she caught his drift. For the love of SkyClan, I sound like I'm hitting on her! Who knows, maybe I am? Rather then answer the thoughts swirling around inside of his head, Finchfeather smiled and repositioned himself into a sitting pose, his yellowish-hazel eyes looking curious. "I'm sorry if I keep prying into stuff that I have nothing to do with, but..." He smiled uneasily, hoping she wouldn't take offense to his unusually nosy personality today. "What was it like in LightningClan?" Finchfeather blurted, and waited with baited breath to check her reaction, hoping dearly that she wouldn't shut down completely and take offense. That would truly truly horrible.

Moonfrost Moonfrost gave him a tight smile. "Not very interesting. I didn't exactly fit in..." She let her smile fall and bit her cheek. "I don't know about others, but I just didn't like it." "Sorry I'm bugging you. You probably have a lot of things to do." She dipped her head, feeling awkward yet again. "Thanks for your time Finchfeather." Why am I not leaving?

//Finchfeather// Much to the deputy's dismay, Moonfrost was right. He did have things to that he should've been doing, as opposed to sitting here chatting with Moonfrost. He tried not to let his disappointment show on his face, cracking a small pleasant smile to cover it up. "I have the evening patrol to organize, yeah." Making a slight face, Finchfeather glanced around at all of the warriors returning, suddenly aware of his duties as deputy for perhaps the 8th time this week. But today his responsibilities seemed to be particularly heavy... "It was nice talking to you though, Moonfrost, and if I haven't bothered you too much, I wouldn't mind going hunting with you again sometime." Finchfeather meant every word, his yellowish-hazel eyes bearing truth and a kind of fondness for her that he was having trouble concealing. Nothing particularly special or peculiar, short of meeting Brock, had actually happened today... And yet he felt as though progress had been made, and there was one more cat in MountainClan that Finchfeather could look on and genuinely smile at.

Moonfrost She smiled at him, trying to hide her disappointment that he did have things to do. "Yeah. That would be great!" She was being truthful. She liked spending time with the deputy, not knowing why. Truthfully, she didn't know why she felt the attraction to follow him around everywhere like a little lost kit. Keeping the smile on her face she nodded. "I should leave you to your duties then, hu?"
