"You're too loyal," badgered Embersky, as if that were a personality trait anyone would be unfortunate to have. Lionstep snorted, his worry evaporating as he realized Embersky was in one of those moods again. "What do you say to getting a forbidden love? I hear RiverClan she-cats are nice." Embersky mewed persuasively, watching the golden deputy with mischievous eyes.
Lionstep snorted again, this time with an edge of shock to his voice. "And what would be the point of that? I have already have a mate and kits on the way." Why the deputy was even entertaining the snarky Medicine Cat's ideas in the first place, not even StarClan knew.
"Come on," the silver and black tom goaded, "it's only the quickest way to screw up your life. All the cool cats are doing it."
Lionstep rolled his dark golden eyes, not quite sure if Embersky was seriously trying to convince him to get into trouble or not; his tail flicked from side to side. "Somehow I don't think that would go over well with Breezepelt," mewed the deputy, making reference to the light-furred ThunderClan she-cat who he'd taken as a mate.
"That's. The. Point." Explained Embersky, addressing the deputy in a tone mentors often gave their apprentices when they failed to grasp even the simplest of concepts. Lionstep, still assuming this to be a joke of some sort, laughed a little uncomfortably. "But still," he mewed, clearly at a loss for words.
"But nothing, you've enough mane to go around," teased the Medicine Cat, Embersky taking great pleasure in the look of absolute surprise filling up the deputy's dark features.
Lionstep shook his head, as if not sure whether to deem him crazy or just annoying, and glanced up as he saw the ThunderClan leader emerge from his den. "I've got matters to discuss with Willowstar," Lionstep mewed a little hastily, clearly eager to get away. Embersky smirked as the deputy made his way over to the ThunderClan leader quickly, clearing having no signs of stopping. However, Lionstep did call over his shoulder as he paused; "Try to stay out of trouble today, Embersky. I don't want to hear another story about an apprentice crying because you were mean to them."
Embersky gave him a fanged grin, as if he were the essence of innocence. "Oh don't worry Lionstep, I wouldn't dream of making anyone uncomfortable."
Lionstep rolled his eyes.

Embersky has a few rounded features to him. His face, eyes, and paws are all curved in shape. Although he is a Medicine Cat, he has trained to achieve a muscular and healthy form. From afar he looks broad and menacing but closer up it's obvious that he isn't at all threatening. With a gentle concave nose and wide eyes he looks more curious than anything. However, his body exudes power with even a thick, strong base to his tail.Personality:
The Medicine Cat's pelt is contrived of a series of thick curved black stripes with a gray-silver base. His forehead and facial area have a typical tabby 'M' and light stripes on the sides. The nose, paws and part of the neck on him are all a very light, almost-white silver. While his pelt is interesting, the most memorable feature on him by far is his eyes. Dark blue and striking, Embersky tells kits that he can use them to read into their minds - much to the horror and fascination of ThunderClan's youngest members.
Naturally sarcastic from birth, Embersky employs all his wit into playing tricks on the rest of his Clan. Constantly outspoken, he never hesitates to speak his mind on any Clan issue. He is more than slightly narcissistic and loves to remind everyone just how important he is as Medicine Cat. Extremely proud of his muscular form, rare for a healing cat, he often comments that he has the build of a warrior with the intelligence of a Medicine Cat. Which of course, in his eyes, makes him the greatest cat the Clans have ever seen. (Even if the Clans feel differently on the matter.)History:
He is unpopular with kits and apprentices for his odd way of teasing them and giving them chores. Even when meeting with the warrior ancestors, Embersky is known to go on random rants that are trivial. He is often clueless about when to be serious and when not to be, taking every bit of information in the same light.
When the days pass with little to do, Embersky's favorite pastime is to gossip nonstop about everyone around him. He spreads rumors based on little to no evidence simply to get a laugh. Most of the time it's merely him assuming. One of his favorite targets is Lionstep, the ThunderClan deputy. The two have a very "House to Doctor Wilson" relationship so to speak. Otherwise, Embersky spends his days lazing around the camp, ordering apprentices to gather herbs for him instead of doing it himself. Occasionally he practices fighting to keep himself in perfect physical condition.
Although he gives all his duties as much attention as they require, he does like to focus more on the ones that interest him the most. Easily distracted doing the simplest things, Embersky often has to be bribed to do anything that isn't mandatory for the Clan.
Kithood: Emberkit was born to the depressed and silent Robinfur. His mother was still grieving for her lost love in ShadowClan, Barkstipe, with whom she had born his elder brother, Birchfog. She had taken Quailcall as her new mate only after Barkstipe had stolen Birchfog to raise in ShadowClan against her will. His father had always loved Robinfur, sticking with and comforting her until she loved him back. While not the cat she'd first fell for, he was the one she spent the remainder of her life with.Roleplay Example:
Despite the aftermath of the drama while he was young, Emberkit was always eager and never sad. He would constantly play-fight with the younger cats in the Clan, fueling belief that he planned to be a warrior's apprentice. His strong build and interest in fighting certainly didn't help the assumptions. However, only a half-moon before he was to be apprenticed, Emberkit revealed he had always planned on becoming a Medicine Cat. This shocked everyone but no one questioned it. When he made up his mind on something, he'd stick with it to the end. That much was obvious from early on.
Apprenticeship: When Emberkit became Emberpaw, he was given to Lightfoot to train. While the much more docile tom had trouble with the easily distracted young cat, he was pleased with how much he wanted to learn. Emberpaw's dedication was astounding and he would recite herb meaning's to himself in his freetime as practice. Within a short period of time he had memorized them all. As a graduated Medicine Cat, he uses his hard work when younger as an excuse to be lazy whenever he can.
Even though he had chosen not to be a warrior, Emberpaw would often ask to practice with the other apprentices, saying that just because he was a medicine cat didn't mean he couldn't learn to defend himself too.
Medicine Cat Today: After nearly twice as long as his fellow apprentices trained to be warriors, Emberpaw became Embersky. Lightfoot was very pleased to accept him as a fellow Medicine Cat. Very soon after however, his mentor retired to the Elders den. Even sooner after that, he joined StarClan, having lived a full life in service. Accepting that the previous Medicine Cat had been old, Embersky paid his respects and moved on with his life.
As he followed his own path, he eventually began to learn more about his brother, Birchfog. Upon meeting him for the first time, Embersky quickly realized that all his eagerness at the thought of family had been wasted. Blaming him for near everything wrong with his life, Birchfog made it clear he did not see him as family. Shocked at such treatment, Embersky realized what deep emotions felt like for the first time. Although pretending to take it in stride like everything else, he secretly wonders what's the reason for his brother's hostility.
Everything else in his life has worked out. He still enjoys teasing his Clanmates and now he orders them around like kits. Currently, Embersky's looking forward to getting an apprentice he can make do his jobs for him.
It was around sunhigh, and Embersky was sitting lazily in the shade. With herbs gathered and no cats sick, the Medicine Cat looked over the Clan for a victim. A kit was playing in the camp's center, and it was one that Embersky easily recognized. Flicking one silver and black ear back, Embersky chuckled with a kind of wicked amusement as the sound of the golden ThunderClan deputy, Lionstep approaching, reached his ears. "I just reached a startling realization about you, Lionstep." mewed Embersky, more so to himself than to Lionstep. The deputy mused, slightly worried, slightly amused.
"Oh really?"
"You're too loyal," badgered Embersky, as if that were a personality trait anyone would be unfortunate to have. Lionstep snorted, his worry evaporating as he realized Embersky was in one of those moods again. "What do you say to getting a forbidden love? I hear RiverClan she-cats are nice."
