•Lilykit• Lilykit dreamt she was chasing a big, fat squirrel. She pounced on it and killed it. She bit into the delicious creature. A sharp pain woke the young kit. She realized she had bit into her tail! "Ow," The orange and ginger she-kit whimpered quietly. How embarrasing! Lilykit stood up and stretched her tired legs. She licked her aching tail.
The little kit wished there was something to do. "Does anyone wanna play with me?" She asked anyone who happened to be listening. Lilykit wasn't too far away from becoming an apprentice. Just a few more moons more to go. She had to admit, she was a little nervous. Once she was a 'paw then she would have to train, hunt, patrol, and all the duties that needed to be done. Couldn't she just stay in the comfort of the nursery? She sighed.

»Hawkflame« Of course he was here to check on Leafkit. This was what he rudely told any cat who thought differently, who tried to pin the idea that he was 'just here to visit the she-cats' on him. He would only be here for Leafkit; he had no interest in the queens spending their days in the nursery taking care of wailing, whining kits. Besides, queens were usually taken, weren't they? Their mates off busy doing warrior duties... At least, that was what he told himself. Not that he was thinking about it, of course. "Leafkit?" Came the tom's gruff, no-nonsense tone, his fierce green eyes darting to fix themselves on Lilykit, as if acknowledging her presence without so much as a friendly greeting sent her way. Hawkflame wasn't the nicest of toms in ThunderClan, that much was obvious.

.Lilykit. Lilykit heard someone calling for Leafkit. She felt very little when Hawkflame's eyes stared at her. How could a cat be so mean and rude? Maybe he just needs some cheering up! She thought. Lilykit stepped forward and smiled at the big tom. "Hi Hawkflame! Wanna play with me?" She asked playfully. The young kit didn't really know much about Hawkflame and didn't know that he ussually wasn't very nice.

»Hawkflame« Must stay civil. Must stay civil. Must stay civil. These words, like a new kind of mantra, kept repeating themselves over and over inside of Hawkflame's head, his lips pulling back into a very pained grin that was meant to be pleasant - but came off as rather scary instead. It was because she was just a kitten that the dark-eyed tom wasn't jumping down her throat or biting her head off for speaking to him. "Are you friends with Leafkit?" the young tom mewed. If this in some way earned him brownie points with Leafkit...then he might consider it.

.Lilykit. Lilykit felt a shiver go down her back as Hawkflame attempted to make a friendly smile. Good enough. It was better than him glaring at her. "Leafkit?" She had heard the name before but never really talked to her. "No, not really. I haven't had the chance to really talk to her." She replied to the big tom. She wondered why Hawkflame was looking for Leafkit anyway.

»Hawkflame« "mmhmm." The tom answered dryly, glancing back into the nursery for any sign of Leafkit. She was probably sleeping. I guess I can entertain her for a little while, at least until the evening patrol leaves. He mused, glancing down at little Lilykit with unfriendly eyes. "If you can find a mossball, we can play with that." He wasn't in to any of those cutesy games warriors made kits play, like 'leaf hunting' or pretending that they were fully grown warriors, defending the Clan against a badger attack or something. .Lilykit.
Lilykit wondered what was making the warrior so grumpy. Oh well. She was just glad that he had agreed to play something with her. The kit looked around the nursery for a moss ball. Then she spotted one in the corner that she had been playing with earlier. "Found one!" She said happily. Lilykit batted the small moss ball with her paw towards Hawkflame.

»Hawkflame« Suspicious that someone might actually be watching him be a nice guy (for once), Hawkflame picked up the mouseball and moved to the other side of the nursery, eager for some privacy. Setting it down on the ground again, the huge bengal tom sat back on his haunches, his tail wrapping around his paws as he looked down at Lilykit. "Try and catch it, alright?" It wasn't really a question for her to answer, and the tom's green eyes seemed to pierce even the air as he hooked a claw through the mossball and tossed it up towards the sky. He was curious to see how she'd react to this little play thing. Would she wait for it to land? Would she jump up to catch it? Would she smack it out of the air before it hit the dirt? He hadn't had much time to play like this as a kit...it was probably good that she got to experience 'fun' while it still lasted.
