Oceanfield is a dark, chocolate brown, with bright blue and green eyes. Her face is long and triangular, and she has angular positions of her face, such as eyes set farther apart from one another, and larger, more triangular ears.Personality:
Her eyes themselves are wide and lengthy, with blue green irises surrounding a stormy gray ring around her oval-shaped pupil. The color can change somewhat according to weather, how she feels, and the tension emanating from the surrounding cats. When they're normal, she is feeling...well, normal. When the storm has grown around the pupil and more into the iris, she is troubled or upset. Green eyes are the equivalent of extreme ecstasy. These are the main three reasons and colors of her eye changes; the rest are small, unnoticeable flickers, something a cat would see with their peripheral vision and not by looking straight at her eyes.
Her coat is long and lush, though she has the characteristics of a Havana Brown. Her plumed tail is soft and almost feathery to the touch, giving her a light appearance. It is, however, just an illusion, a facade, which is helpful in battle. Her frame beneath the long, beautiful coat is thick and strong, and some would say she is big-boned. She is strong because of this skeleton, and so she is immensely hard to pin down.
She has long, curved claws; however, they are rarely stained with the blood of her enemies. She believes in peace, and her "clean coat", as some would put it, and bone white claws prove it. Her "clean coat" refers to the fact that she has little (if any) scars on it. Instead, if she were to get some sort of scar, she would immediately cover it up with something closely colored to her, and she would continue to hide it until the scar was unnoticeable. Though many see scars as strength and fierceness, she sees it as a crack in the carefully formed mask that is her facade. She doesn't want herself to fully shine through, and any sort of mark would do such a thing, only leading to the unveiled personality that broods beneath.
She is amazingly well-rounded, and she feels she has everything. These characteristics include brains, looks, and power to do anything, although she is humble about it on the outside. She has a sarcastic touch that only slightly leaks into her words, and she knows exactly how to push a cat's buttons. The thing is, she never does, no matter the urge. All of her Clanmates are her friends; she treats them as such, so they treat her just the same in return. She aspires to live a happy, long, loving life before moving on to StarClan, and though she has had some rough spots, she has so far done so. In addition to her long life dream, she also aspires to inspire before she expires, if that is understandable.History:
Though her sweetness is oftentimes a way to gain friends, it also pushes them away. The cats who are engrossed by her are always willing to do what she needs them to, while the ones that can't stand her are always brooding in the corner, wishing to StarClan that she would just...disappear. They would feel overwhelmed by her, and in the end, they would feel as if she was a fake. Oceanfield herself, however, would know the truth. She would know that the little performance she put on for her fellow Clanmates was only to gain them onto her side. The others who couldn't be fooled, well, they were the ones that were spared from her personality, the ones that could not be sucked into her life whether she wanted them or not.
At least, that's what she sees. She isn't all that, even though she tries, to the point of murder, to be. She would kill to be the popular cat in the Clan, even though she knows it will never happen. Her personality is all a facade, but mostly to herself. She wants perfection; no other cats like perfection.
Beneath everything she tries to be, there is a weak, dismal shell of what used to be a strong she-cat. Now, it is simply of what will never be a true cat. Her fears are irrational: she fears that no one will ever like her, nor will anyone mate with her, or call her perfect. She is making these fears a reality, simply by being so...imperfectly perfect.
Her irrationality came from her mother. Rosefeather always called everyone of her kits except Oceankit beautiful. Noticing this, she would strive to receive the praise that she so hungered for. It never came. All that would come was insults and coldness, from anyone but her siblings.
She feels she needs to be perfect to be accepted, considering she has never gotten the satisfaction of praise, nor the warm glow from her parents. They were cruel, yes, but only to her. Maybe it was to toughen her up, or maybe just because they didn't like her. She'll never know.
Born in the dead center of green-leaf herself, Rosefeather was unafraid of venturing out of the nursery so soon to kitting. She wanted to relax and take a breath of fresh, clean air, unpolluted by the stuffy heat and combined presence of various cats wishing her luck. Her water broke, and she started to go into labor. By the time any cat had brought the Medicine Cat, Emberkit was already born, and Oceankit was on her way to life as well. Seakit came after her, of course. Her mother knew that she shouldn't go out into the heat so close to kitting, but being rebellious and unafraid, she went anyways.Roleplay Example:
Oceankit's first memory was that of walking into a heat wave: heat barreled into her, and she went from sanctuary to hell. Something was licking her, and she would become almost overheated. Later, she found out, it was her Medicine Cat, trying to get the circulation going around in her body. She would try to squirm away, but nothing would move, nor could she see. To her it was like bad dream.
After that episode, she felt quietly triumphant as a kit. She had survived the heat, and had lived on to get to leaf-bare, in which she would become an apprentice to an extraordinarily grumpy mentor, Spottedfur. She was nearing her Elder stage; any cat that old would be as crotchety as Spottedfur had been.
Upon entering her Warrior stage, Spottedfur had an untimely death, occurring right in the middle of the warrior ceremony, and the ThunderClan deputy, Lionstep, hastily stepped in for her. For that, Oceanfield has always been grateful.
Spottedfur was checked out thoroughly by the medicine cat, but nothing had killed her: just old age, and a bad family history of early death. Spottedfur's death was soon covered by a more joyous event: kits. Oceanfield's sister, Seashine, had found her mate and had kitted, giving birth to two beautiful kits, one named Sunkit for his bright pelt, and the other Moonkit, for her stormy gray pelt.
These kits were playful, and nothing could tear them apart from either their parents or their aunt, Oceanfield. She was usually bombarded with questions regarding her name, how she was born, how kits were made (Which she never answered, thanks to courtesy towards her sister and the simple fact that kits shouldn't know such things), other such things.
Oceanfield is in need of an apprentice, for she wants to use her talents to work her way up the ladder. If she can do anything to get her way, she will subtly but surely try.
Slowly swimming in a pool of water nearby the camp, Oceanfield watched the toms staring at her beauty. She simply turned cheek and abandoned the thought of any of them as a mate, though one did happen to stand out as good cat. The cat she was talking about: Emberclaw. Yes, he was her brother, but that just meant he was equally as great looking, and a wonderfully sweet cat as well.Pictures:
She climbed out of the stream, satisfied her pelt was clean. It didn't feel soggy or weighed down, no matter the amount of fur she had. She wasn't even sure if it would ever be fully damp, nor was she sure it would simply get truly wet. She walked past Emberclaw, nuzzling him sweetly.
"Well hello, Brother. How are the kits?" She looked him in his brown eyes, hoping to gain an answer from there.
"You know full well that I have neither a mate nor any kits, Sister." They went through this nearly everyday.
"I'm speaking of Moonkit and Sunkit. How are they?"
"Same as usual. Loud. Rough. Rambunctious. Hyper. The list goes on." He turned around, walking back into camp, Oceanfield trailing next to him.
I think those cats are the best thing that's happened to this Clan, as well as the best thing for my family!
